The successful candidate will:

  • Assist personnel in the evaluation and execution of individualized care plans by carrying out daily responsibilities and activities as directed to promote the dignity, health, and well-being of all residents.
  • Efficiently collaborating with the multidisciplinary team in order to deliver patient care
  • Assist nursing and residential home residents with all necessary personal care, including bathing in bed, bathroom, or chair, ensuring that such activities adhere to pertinent healthcare legislation and procedures, and addressing essential aspects of personal hygiene (e.g., brushing teeth and washing body and hair).
  • Obligation to oversee and monitor the welfare of residents, reporting immediately to senior staff and appropriately documenting any anomalous physical, mental, or emotional incidents. In addition, personnel must be informed of the local policies and procedures governing the protection of children and adults, as well as the appropriate contacts within the local authority for safeguarding matters.
  • Aiding in mobility and transfer while employing any specialized equipment supplied in an appropriate manner
  • Enrollment in ward assemblies
  • Observe policies regarding infection control and maintain ward hygiene.
  • Foster and cultivate positive professional relationships with visitors, colleagues, and residents.
