Day Services Care Assistant/Support Worker, Full-Time, Permanent Contract (1.00 WTE), Greystones, County Wicklow
Day opportunities are provided by Gheel Autism Services throughout Dublin and County Wicklow. This enables us to provide individualized services that are distinct and tailored to the preferences, requirements, and ambitions of each person. Our Day Opportunity teams are currently implementing a service delivery model known as New Directions. To accommodate the specific sensory and support requirements of adults diagnosed with autism.
The Day Opportunity Support team offers customized assistance within their respective local communities. Practitioners shall advocate for and facilitate the growth of social and recreational organizations, educational initiatives, employment prospects, and independent living capabilities. Assistance is provided in various locations located in North and South Dublin, correspondingly. The ideal candidate will be expected to perform work remotely, utilizing a roster system, across all locations.
Together with the Practitioners, the Care Assistant will facilitate the growth of the individual’s independent living abilities, educational and occupational prospects, and participation in social and recreational organizations.
The Day Supports positions are primarily Monday through Friday, with the possibility of weekend work contingent on the requirements of the individuals we assist; yearly increases are incorporated.

Salary Scale:
- Applicants who are successful will be compensated in accordance with the 2016 HSE revised consolidated care assistant pay schedule, point 6 (€29,729–€13,080 annually) on the basis of a 39-hour workweek.
- One year is filled with 23 days of annual leave.
- The successful candidate for the position will also be eligible for supplementary compensation beyond the salary mentioned above (point 3); the range is €1,281 to €2,164 annually (LSI) in accordance with the phased pay restoration procedure between the Department of Health and Section 39 Agencies.
